Our Cabinet Painting Process

First, our skilled team carefully removes the doors and drawer fronts from your cabinets. This is where our team will take notes on any additional requests such as (soft close hinges, new drawer slides, specific areas of concern) These components are then transported to our workshop, where the transformation process begins.
At our workshop, the cabinet faces undergo meticulous preparation to ensure a flawless finish. They are thoroughly sanded to remove any imperfections and provide a smooth surface for painting.
Next, the surfaces are meticulously degreased to remove any built-up grime, grease, or residues that may affect the adhesion of the paint.
To further enhance the durability and adhesion of the paint, the cabinet faces are primed with shellac. This high-quality primer creates a strong bond between the surface and the paint, ensuring long-lasting results.
If selected by the homeowner, any grain in the wood is filled to create a seamless and uniform appearance. This step ensures that the final result is smooth and professional-looking, with no visible imperfections.
After priming, the surfaces are sanded again to ensure optimal smoothness and uniformity, creating the perfect canvas for the application of paint.
Once the preparation steps are complete, the cabinet faces are ready for painting. We use the Sherwin-Williams Gallery Series Paint color of your choice, applied with precision using advanced HVLP spray guns. This method ensures an even and smooth finish, free from brush marks or streaks.
While the doors and drawer fronts are being transformed at our workshop, the framework of your cabinets is painted by hand on-site. Our skilled technicians take care to protect your kitchen environment and ensure a neat and precise application of paint.
Once the painting process is complete, our team carefully re-installs the doors and drawer fronts onto your cabinets. We conduct a thorough final inspection to ensure that every detail meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we won't consider the job complete until you're delighted with the results.
